About Carter

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Skilled point guard who plays with pace and control. I create for others, make smart reads, and can score at all three levels. I take pride in my defense, especially on-ball pressure and creating steals, and I bring energy on both ends of the floor.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

High character, coachable, and team-first. I’m competitive and bring consistent effort every day, especially when no one is watching. I stay composed under pressure and focus on making the right play to help my team win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Active in the community through volunteering as a youth basketball assistant coach and assisting as a T-ball coach in our local summer recreation program. Recognized academically with A Honor Roll and selected by teachers as a Student of Character, reflecting strong leadership, work ethic, and positive influence on others.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Built leadership and communication skills by volunteering as a youth basketball and T-ball coach, where I help guide and motivate younger players. I’m a team-first player who leads by example, stays positive, and holds myself accountable. Through sports and community service, I’ve developed discipline, strong work ethic, and the ability to compete while still supporting my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

A significant challenge I’ve faced is losing my dad at a young age. Going through that taught me how to handle adversity, stay strong mentally, and keep pushing forward even when things are difficult. It’s shaped my work ethic and made me more disciplined, both in life and on the court. I use that experience as motivation to improve every day and be a positive example to others.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that’s a good fit academically and athletically, where I can compete at a high level, continue to develop my game, and be part of a strong team culture. I value a program with coaches who invest in their players and a school that will prepare me for my future beyond basketball.
