Schick stood out this past fall at the Prep Hoops Sophomore Showcase as a decision maker and someone we’d want with the ball in their hands. All word is that the trend has continued and I want to see it. He may deservedly be known as a shooter, but his ability to find teammates and get them the ball in scoring positions has really stood out.

Schick is a player that’s seen really nice growth and development in his game. We could see that this high school season, much like we did in the summer and fall. He has the ability to attack with both hands and can create when he has the ball.

Schick moved up the rankings, but is still an example of a player where the number next to his name doesn’t do justice to his game. Schick can shoot and score, but even more impressive is the work he’s willing to do off the ball to get those looks at the rim. He’s not just a scorer though, as he’s proven that he can create and distribute as well.

Schick should be on a lot of coaches lists for the class of 2027. I know he can shoot and score, but he can really play with a true lead guard mentality. Schick was strong, steady and smart with the ball. He showed a true knack for finding scorers and getting them the ball at opportune times.
