has started the AAU season strong. He’s shown an improved shooting touch, extending his range beyond the three-point line. While Carlos is known as a hustle player and defender, his offensive skill set has been on full display so far this travel season. When attacking the basket, look for him to play off two feet and finish through contact. He’s also improved his ability to catch and shoot with confidence.
Rebounding and defense are where Carlos typically stands out, thanks to his high motor and ability to be in the right spots. He’s a disruptive force in passing lanes, consistently getting his hands on the ball. When opponents try to drive, Carlos shows great instincts, positioning himself well to take charges.

is typically known as a high-level defensive player and relentless hustle guy. This season, he has shown clear evolution in his overall game. His offensive abilities have been on full display to close out the 2025 calendar year, as he has been playing with a noticeable chip on his shoulder.
He is making sure he is known as more than just an effort player. While he has always been effective scoring in the paint, he has added the ability to shoot off the dribble and consistently knock down three-point shots. Carlos-Rey already runs the floor hard in transition, but with these new layers to his game, defenses can no longer simply take away the lane — they now have to close out and contest his shot.

is an all-gas and no-break kind of player. He does all the little things for his team. He isn’t flashy or someone who is going to light up the scoreboard. He is the player who is going to fight for rebounds and loose balls. He is the player who puts his team first and is about the wins, not the stat lines. This summer, I was able to witness multiple defensive stops and a game-winning shot in Las Vegas. He uses great footwork and positioning to win rebounds and draw charges.
