DeBerry checks in at No. 17 overall and the No. 3-ranked center in the latest 2207 rankings market corrections. He’s an emerging force to be reckoned with on the interior. He put up 6.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per contest as the Stallions made a run to the NCISAA 1A Final Four this past season. He’s a presence on the interior for colleges to get to know given his ability to rebound, alter shots and take up space with his frame.

He’s shown his growth as a presence around the rim on both areas for years to come with Queens Grant in the NCHSAA. He’s a prospect for DI programs in the region to get eyes on in a hurry given his skillset.

C. Deberry Loaded VA 15s
8p 4r 2b vs Tenn Impact, 8p 9r 3b vs New World
-Athletic forward prospect has only been playing basketball for two years but you would never know it while watching him play. Deberry has a good feel for where the ball is coming off the rim and works hard to beat his man to the spot for the board, finishing well in traffic while possessing the quick second jump to grab his own miss and finish again before the defense can react. Defensively, he gives Loaded a boost as a versatile forward that can slide on the perimeter or body up against other bigs– utilizing his athleticism well for contests on the perimeter and in the paint. Jumper is developing well, respectable out to 15 feet as a C+S elbow shooter.

DeBerry is an emerging forward presence to get to know out of Olympic in the Charlotte Metro area. He’s shown he can be a two-way presence on both ends in the painted area after averaging 4.3 PPG, 5.8 RPG and 1.4 BPG for the Trojans during the regular season. He saw a bump in his conference production with 6.5 PPG, 7.5 RPG and 2.2 BPG while shooting 52 percent from the field. He knows how to use his length in a variety of ways to be effective in the frontcourt. Look for him to play a role on the grassroots stage with The Skill Factor this spring/summer.
