Expert Analysis
Andrew Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Cooper looks every bit like one of Florida’s premier prospects. The 6-7 guard used his size to shoot comfortably over defenders, attacked mismatches off the dribble, and created offense without forcing the issue. He also impacted the game as a rebounder and transition playmaker, pushing tempo and finding teammates in stride. Defensively, his length disrupted passing lanes and made life difficult for opposing wings. The reclassified 2027 prospect has the tools to make an immediate impact at the next level.

Cooper brings a unique blend of length and polish to the backcourt. He’s a smooth scorer who can finish with either hand, hit from beyond the arc, and control the game as a primary ball-handler. His size gives him an edge over most guards, and his continued growth makes him one of the state’s most intriguing long-term prospects.

Pro squad. Clocking in at 6’5”, Cooper already has the frame to dominate while he continues growing and learning. He has a great motor and crashes the glass with force. Continuing to add muscle to his frame and work on footspeed, he should be able to potentially defend three to four positions by the time the next level comes knocking.

The 6-4 eighth grader continues to play with a strong purpose as he has strong signs of being a potential D-1 prospect when all is said and done. Cooper gets the job done on both ends of the floor whether it’s his three-level scoring where he is averaging 21.3 points per game through his team’s first three games this season. Cooper is also very versatile on the defensive end using his length to get into the passing lanes where he is currently leading the team, averaging three steals per game.
