Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I love to play defense, make a great pass to a teammate that changes the momentum of a game, make a hustle play, and do EVERYTHING I possibly can to help my team compete and win games. I can shoot the 3 very well (I made 22 3-pointers in a row on YouTube) and love to take the ball to the basket strong and get the old-fashioned "And-1" three point-play also. I always do my best to energize my team!
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I always do my best to 1) Be THE most energetic/positive influence on any team 2) Be the hardest worker on any team 3) Be coachable and make all of my teammates better on and off the court 4) Get at least 1% better every day and really focus and always be honing and perfecting the fundamentals of the game 5) Compete and fight for every possession, rebound, and 50-50 ball.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I currently do various volunteer projects at my high school and served food at the Salvation Army to the homeless when I went to St. Louise Catholic School.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed the qualities of teamwork, leadership and perseverance in all the sports I have played over the past 10 years. I love working together with my teammates to compete and push each other to get better and be the best that we can be. I always try to find someone better than me and play them one-on-one until I can beat them and then keep pushing myself to get better every day!
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I have moved around a lot with my family. Some might call it a challenge but I have met some incredible coaches and friends by living in so many different places. I was born in New York City and lived there for 8 years and then moved to Allendale, New Jersey, Palo Alto, CA (near Stanford University, Kansas City, KS and now Seattle, WA. I was really lucky to be the the ball boy at Stanford in 2018
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm looking for a college that is a great fit athletically and academically and am open to going anywhere in the country. I have lived in and visited many places and find something interesting and fun in every place. Thanks for taking the time to read my profile, I really appreciate it! Respectfully, Brody Renners
