About Brody

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A strong and athletic guard who can attack the rim with power and finesse, use quick handles to break down defenders, and have the confidence to take tough shots. I am also a leader on the court that likes to put his team mates first.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I play with a fearless, competitive mentality. I’m confident in my game, unafraid to take the big shots, and I bring energy every time I step on the floor. I thrive under pressure, stay locked in regardless of mistakes, and always look to outwork whoever’s in front of me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Right now, my main focus has been on basketball and academics, but I’m always open to getting involved in other areas that help me grow as a student and leader.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball, I’ve developed leadership and teamwork skills by learning how to communicate on and off the court, support my teammates, and step up when it matters most. I’ve also learned discipline and time management by balancing sports with school.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One significant challenge I faced was multiple injuries. It tested my patience and resilience, but it also taught me how to stay focused and keep pushing forward. I learned how to bounce back, stay mentally tough, and use setbacks as motivation to grow both as a player and a person.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that challenges me both academically and athletically. I want a program with a competitive basketball culture, strong coaching, and a team-first environment. I also value supportive academic setting where I can grow and prepare for life beyond basketball.

Baker’s reputation as one of the best three-point shooters in Indiana’s Class of 2027 precedes him. He had it on display at the Breakaway Holiday Classic. The 6’1″ junior guard hit five three-point shots, including three in the fourth quarter, while trying to bring Harrison (West Lafayette) back. He was very impressive as a cutter and was excellent at setting himself up to come off of screening action. The work he did without the ball is why he was able to get off so many good looks despite commanding so much attention. Baker finished with 22 points in the 55-53 loss to Avon.
