Medina has a strong group of seniors ready to contribute this season and Beech was the standout of their group. Improving as an athlete since the last time I watched him play, Beech had some impressive moves when attacking the basket. The lefty is a big-time shooter and fits the fast-paced Medina system perfectly. I think Beech is a really intriguing small college target and should be getting looks from top Division III schools around the region and scholarship opportunities as well.

Beech is a prospect I’ll get to watch this Sunday as Medina takes on Fairview at the Chet Mason Invitational. Beech fits in well with the high paced Bees offense that relies on quick ball movement and sharp shooting. My first sample of Beech was impressive with the control he showed when attacking the basket combined with his skill level and feel from a decent sized wing. This second scouting opportunity will further allow me to understand his game and level of prospect.

Beech fits exactly how Medina wants to play with his size, ball handling and passing skills. I was impressed with the basketball IQ that Beech showed, he knocked down shots, has a variety of skills on the court. I’ve been showing Medina a lot of love but with their fast-paced system that promotes ball movement and shooting, lots of prospects from their program are immediately ready to contribute offensively at the next level. Beech is another example of a prospect I expect to fit like a glove at the next level with his feel for the game and passing.
