Lima Sr had a dominant victory over Springboro and Moore was a key reason why the Spartans looked so dominant. Lima Sr was fericious defensively and Moore forced turnovers with his activity and length. I was also impressed with how he shot the ball from the outside, as Moore made more jumpers than I’ve previously ever seen him connect on. Moore and Lima Sr are trying to get things to click after an up and down start to their season, the Spartans are hoping to prove that northwest Ohio still runs through Lima at the Division I level once again during the playoffs.

Moore is the senior guard you want on your team. He is a leader and plays his tail off. He plays almost the whole game and has been very consistent in the two games I have seen Lima Senior play. He is a good on-ball defender. Applies really good pressure. I like his communication on defense. He doesn’t bring too many scoring skills to the table but he still gets points. He did a lot of his scoring with his back to the basket in the post bullying the smaller guard of Central. He is the engine for Lima Senior.

Moore was the senior guard you want on your team. He was just consistent all game. He played incredibly hard on defense all game. He was very disciplined as well defensively. Never took unnecessary chances for steals or anything. He also used this defense to generate offense for him. He had a lot of transition points and did a good job of slashing to the basket as well.

Moore is a player who stood out on a new look Lima Sr squad that graduated a majority of the production from last season. Despite this, the Spartans will still be one of the top teams in NW Ohio and players like Moore will be big reasons why. Moore is a great defender, which is something required to see the floor for Quincey Simpson. Moore also showed flashes of driving to the lane and finishing through contact. I only caught Moore during the month of June and will want to see him again during the winter.
