Billy has always been an outside shooting threat, but now as a senior he’s grown into his 6’4 frame, and has become more of a threat finishing at the rim. Against Buffalo he was searching for transition scoring opportunities, always looking to push the ball ahead on his own or to a teammate. In the half-court his off-ball movement helped open up looks, and he showed the touch to finish from various angles off the glass. Had a transition lay-up late in the game that sealed the win against Buffalo on Tuesday night.

Billy Demars – The 2025 guard Demars is scoring 16 points per game for the Hornets. Demars as the lead player has upped his scoring while still being a good passer and rebuilding his position well. Demars is committed to the University of Minnesota-Duluth (D2 basketball).

After a key player went down with an injury in the first half, you could really see Billy step up and look to take over. The Minnesota-Duluth commit knocked down a couple of threes, got out in transition for a few finishes, and did a great job of throwing the ball ahead leading to a few more easy buckets. He’s always been a shooting threat with some length out on the wing, but you can see he’s becoming much more comfortable with the ball in his hands looking to create for himself and his teammates. Scored a team leading 19 points in the win over Lakeville South.

Billy is fun to watch when creating shots for himself using the dribble. He had a monster first half in Saturday’s matchup with Northstar Titans , being so tough to stop when he is hitting his shots off the dribble. He may just have the quickest release I have seen this season, making it so difficult to get a quality contest. He was hitting on both his mid-range and three-point looks, mostly coming off the dribble. DeMars is also fantastic on full speed finishes at the rim.

Billy is one of the top shooters on this Real Phenom team this season. Against a stacked Iowa United team, he kept his squad in it as long as he could hitting a handful of threes off the catch. Showed the ability to quickly get his feet set and body squared to the basket off the catch, allowing him to elevate for a shot before a chasing defender could catch up. Defensively he’s a high effort guy who wasn’t afraid to mix it up against an Iowa United team that is loaded with size.
