Not sure there is a player in the entire state who meant more to his team than Prochnow. Whether he was pushing the ball in transition, handling the ball against pressure defense, or shooting the ball from deep, Prochnow was the catalyst for Reedsville’s Division 5 WIAA state championship team. He scored at a high level (21.2 ppg) for the Panthers, but he was even better getting the ball to his teammates as he put up an eye-popping 10.8 assists per game. Reedsville went 28-3 and won the second state championship in the history of the school largely because of the quickness, skill and mental toughness of Prochnow.
