Berete made his college plans official this week when he announced that he will be attending Trinity College. A long and lean wing, Berete stands out on the defensive end of the floor where his activity level and instincts make him a strong defender both in the full-court and the half-court. Offensively, he runs the floor hard in transition, makes good decisions with the ball in his hands, and has a good feel for when to crash the offensive glass. He’s at his best as a cutter and slasher and does a nice job of finishing with length at the rim. Making an immediate impact in the NESCAC is difficult, but, Berete has the type of two-way ability that makes his chances of instant success at the next level that much higher.

Attacks the rim with strength and finesse at the same time. A sneaky first step. Off the wing or the baseline he uses his body to protect the ball and score it. Good rebounder off the wing.
