and SKG 16U were the final team on my list to see in Rock Hill. They were victorious over an in-state program SC Elite Family, and Jones was one of the Game MVPs. He had a monster stat line in the win, putting up 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. It was hard to take your eyes off him because of his highlight potential in transition, but the strong passing feel was something I haven’t seen from him before. Whether it was dump-off passes to bigs, extra passes on the perimeter, or even quick reads to relocating shooters, Jones was a player who simply made the right play almost every time he had the ball. He only knocked down one three in the game, but I would like to see him more confident as a perimeter shooter because he has a solid stroke and will need the balance to his game at the next level.

Another sophomore forward who suffered from a first-round defeat in the playoffs is Armani. Like McClenic, Jones led his team in points per game and rebounds per game this season. He also happens to be one of the highest-flyers in the CSRA, capable of making some ridiculous, highlight-reel plays at the rim on both ends of the floor. Armani plays bigger than his listed 6’3″ size because of a reported 6’6″ wingspan, a solid frame, and that elite athleticism. Jones showed some promise on the perimeter as he doubled his made threes total from a year ago, but that, along with ball-handling, are skills that he still needs some development with.
