Expert Analysis
Miles Masercola | Prep Hoops Scout
Rousseau rose from 99 to 17 in the last update and it’s frankly a combination of two things. A natural market correction from him being ranked too low the previous go around + him really reaching his potential in a lot of ways and focusing on the development areas that he actually needed to. Rousseau is a skilled combo forward that can play a variety of roles. Someone with his combination of size, outside touch, and mobility is 100% deserving of his new spot at 17. Rousseau is signed to play at Bucknell next season after a really strong summer with SW15H on the UA Rise Circuit. Rousseau was productive this season for Cary Academy and still has a lot of room to grow as a player. He’s certainly earned his new spot amongst some of the best players in North Carolina.

The Bucknell signee will have a massive leap in these 2026 rankings coming out VERY soon. He’s such a steady and reliable producer capable of playing in different spots all over the floor. Early on, Rousseau was attacking the rim, putting pressure on the opposition, forcing them to foul him and over commit. As the game went along he started to find his range from the outside and play off of

Rousseau looks to be getting back to his old self following a strong stint with SW15H Elite on the UA Rise stage this past spring/summer; he’s a strong prospect at 6-foot-6 who’s shown he can operate inside and out given his length and frame on the hardwood; he’ll be a force to be reckoned with at Cary Academy heading into his senior year after producing 16.4 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 3.4 apg, 2.3 spg and 1.7 bpg as a junior; Bucknell and Cornell have both offered him

Back to optimal health and prime to lead Cary Academy; had a strong finish in the SW15H Elite rotation; should draw a ton of interest from DI/DII programs given his versatility and ability to knock down shots with consistency; keep an eye on him over at Cary Academy; Cornell recently offered him as have Bucknell and Navy

At 6’6 Rousseauu is versitile that makes him a matchup nightmare. He attacks the basket, has post moves on smaller defenders or can step out to 3pt range on bigger defenders. Rousseau also cleans up the boards.

Rousseau is one of a few names in the 2026 clas to keep eyes on with WCBA this spring/summer. He was a starting contributor in the Cary Academy rotation this past season, averaging 14.0 PPG, 5.1 RPG and 1.5 APG as a sophomore. He’s a 6-foot-6 presence who plays with a ton of energy on the hardwood around the rim and as a playmaking forward.

Rousseau is another forward with floor spacing ability, projecting to be a stretch 4 man. He’s got good touch and can play inside and out, although he loves to get involved with pick and pops and playing along the perimeter. Also showing more of an ability to create off the bounce and with the ball in hands rather than just needed to get open looks from passes. With him playing on the UA Rise circuit this summer with WCBA , expect him to get more attention regionally.
