Shepard, out of Tabor Academy in Massachusetts, checks in at #9 among the combo guards and #86 overall. Shepard has made some impressive strides with his development since the spring, particularly on the offensive end of the floor. A high level defender, he continues to stand out with his ability to guard multiple positions, to be disruptive in passing lanes, and to mix it up as a rebounder. On the other end of the floor, he is consistently knocking down threes in catch and shoot situations, making good decisions with the ball in his hands, and scoring with efficiency around the rim. Shepard, a wing out of Tabor Academy, stood out in his game set with his energy, effort, and activity level. The 6’4″ wing has a solid frame and is playing with more assertivness, on both ends of the floor, than ever before. He shines defensively with his versatility and willingness to take on tough match-ups. He’s strong enough to guard in the paint and mobile enough to keep guards out of it. Offensively, he does a great job of running the floor in transition and is a high level finisher at the rim as a slasher and cutter.

Rise: +51
Shepard, who had a solid summer on the travel circuit with RI Elite, was the biggest riser in our rankings update. A big combo guard, Shepard has a solid frame and continues to impress as an athlete, now finishing plays with authority above the rim. He’s a tough defender, capable of guarding both spots in the backcourt, and is an impressive rebounder from the guard position. Offensively, he’s dynamic with the ball in his hands, showing the ability to get wherever he wants off the bounce. He’s a crafty finisher at the rim, showing the ability to finish with either hand in traffic. He’s continued to improve as a perimeter shooter and shows signs as a playmaker in the halfcourt. He picked up a recent offer from Bryant and is on the radar of a handful of other D1s, proving that his rise up the rankings may not be done.

Adrian Shepard Jr. Adrian Shepard Jr. 6'4" | CG Tabor Academy | 2026 State New E is an explosive scoring guard with lots of potential in store. He’s got great burst and stellar hops, throwing down dunks in the half-court setting thunderously. Shepard is an automatic paint touch and can get to the rim at will, whenever and wherever. His touch on his jump shots is very soft, being able to shoot in all areas of the court both off the catch and off the dribble. Shepard’s passing skills are also very intriguing, finding cutters in transition and dumping off to interior teammates in the half-court. He competes hard defensively and gives it his all every time out. Shepard’s high ceiling and production make him a very enticing prospect that college coaches and programs should take very seriously.
