About Abraham

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

5'11 Point Guard | Rocky Mountain Lutheran High School | God First | Class of 2027 | 3.55 Gpa | Email - abrahamrivas062309@gmail.com I am a point guard who will bring energy to the team. I can see the court, but I am also a three-level threat and can score at will. I am great in the classroom, get great grades, and am part of the 2027 class.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am energetic and always looking to encourage my teammates. I believe that God puts you in the spot you need to be in and he will do what is right. I always believe in improvement and always looking for ways to get better and improve my game. I know what I want in life but it will not be handed to me so I have to work for it.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I did band for one year, I am in my second year of choir, I am in the national honors society, and I am part of the highest honors.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Even though I am not the tallest or the strongest I know how to play and what to do when it needs to be done. I love being a leader and helping people out whenever they need it whether it be in the classroom, out on the court, or even with daily needs. I love doing things for the community, I run the clock for middle school and Jv games, I help clean up my community, and love helping the homeless.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

After the death of my cousin and grandma, I fell into a dark state not wanting to do anything asking God why. Why would the almighty God do this, I then realized God does everything for a reason he doesn't just do things because. So I worked all summer and went from averaging about 2.2 points per game to over 10 points per game and a starter on varsity.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for any college that can provide me with an opportunity to make my dream come true and give me a good education. Any college that needs a good point guard who can handle the ball, see the court, make the right decisions, learn and pick up things fast, and score at will.
