With the 2019-20 high school basketball season officially over, it’s time for some unsigned seniors to narrow down their choices and close in on the recruiting process. Here are some of the top senior forwards left on the board throughout Northeast Ohio.

[player_tooltip player_id="917428" first="Deshaun" last="Nettles"], Cleveland Central Catholic

Great size and athleticism, Nettles is one of the biggest names left unsigned in the area. He transitioned well to a dominant force inside the paint this season for the Ironmen and used his size well defensively contesting and blocking a plethora of shots as well. Nettles recorded a triple-double earlier in March while putting up 11 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id="800868" first="Jevontae" last="Jones"], Richmond Heights

One of the most athletic unsigned small forwards in the state, [player_tooltip player_id="800868" first="Jevontae" last="Jones"] often found himself elevating near the rim for emphatic finishes. He’s flashy and can defend almost anyone on the court. Brings intensity on both ends of the floor and can heat up in a hurry.

[player_tooltip player_id="917456" first="Jagger" last="Haynes"], Massillon Perry

A very active player on the glass, [player_tooltip player_id="917456" first="Jagger" last="Haynes"] is a physical player who does an exceptional job finding the open shooters when posting up in the paint. He’s an efficient scorer near the rim who’s very patient with the ball in his hands.

[player_tooltip player_id="800876" first="Anthony" last="Maxie"], Richmond Heights

Being a bit undersized has not stopped Maxie from breaking onto the scene. He’s a vibrant player who has elite athleticism and brings energy when on the floor. The lefty was a consistent scoring option for Richmond Heights with a ton of star power in a potent offense.

[player_tooltip player_id="712015" first="Marcus" last="Johnson"], St. Vincent-St. Mary

One of the better post players in Northeast Ohio, [player_tooltip player_id="712015" first="Marcus" last="Johnson"] often found himself overpowering post players on the block. Finished well through contact and developed a consistent mid-range jump shot near the free-throw line. It’s hard to find someone who can overpower Johnson when he’s got the ball looking to score.

[player_tooltip player_id="917474" first="Joe" last="Miller"], GlenOak

Miller played a pivotal part as a big along with teammate [player_tooltip player_id="711933" first="Christian" last="Parker"] for GlenOak his senior year. He’s got good size for a player his height and plays well up against bigger players matched up against. He found an outside touch throughout the season that elevated his scoring ability besides just inside the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id="917475" first="Jordan" last="Garland"], North Royalton

A quick stretch four who finished well through contact in the open court, Garland provided a scoring spark for North Royalton his senior season. He often found himself ahead of the defense and didn't shy away from contact when he drove to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id="800901" first="Tyshune" last="Bender"], Glenville

One of the biggest players left unsigned, Bender feasts inside the paint and is aggressive going for put-back opportunities. A strong build, the 6-foot-6 forward is tough to contain and presents a mismatch problem often.
