6’1 Perez Bowser – Team Loaded 704
Perez Bowser looked good running the point guard position for Team Loaded 704 this past weekend. He’s a quick point guard with a high IQ and playmaking ability. He’s pass-first by nature and always looks to make a play for his teammates. He’ll be a solid floor general for Moravian Prep this upcoming season.
6’5 Josh Owens – Charlotte Nets
Josh Owens is a long and wiry guard at 6-foot-5 that showed off his ability as a slasher during BigShots Carolina Slam. He posted a team-high 15 points in the team’s opening game, including seven made free throws. He has a knack to get to the paint and draw contact for fouls and is an underrated athlete. He’s a prospect college coaches should get eyes on at Metrolina Christian Academy this year.
6’0 Lloyd Latta – Charlotte Nets
Lloyd Latta is a smooth operator at the point guard position. He led the way for the Charlotte Nets in their closing comeback victory over CC Elite 2021/22 with 21 points. He uses his quickness to get to the rim and also knows when to unload his 3-point shot. He made a total of four 3-pointers across three games this past weekend.
6’1 Destin Clark – Team United EYBL
Destin Clark was the definition of a big guard for Team United’s EYBL squad at BigShots Carolina Slam. He uses his frame well to drive to the basket and create for himself and others with the ball in his hands. He can get to the rim with relative ease and is a solid rebounder in the paint.
6’4 Latavian Lawrence – Carolina Wolves
Latavian Lawrence was a high-flyer for the Carolina Wolves this past weekend. On the break, he looks to get out and finish above the rim, which he did on numerous occasions this past weekend. In their final game of the weekend, he exploded for 17 points, including showing off his 3-point shot, making three in the game.
6’3 Trajon Pate – Carolina Wolves
Trajon Pate was the consummate floor general for the Carolina Wolves, getting his shooters open shots and creating plays for his teammates. He has a knack for scoring the basketball, but his unselfish play was one of the biggest strengths for his squad. He opened the weekend with 17 points, getting to the basket and free throw line often. College coaches looking for a true point guard should give him a look.
6’10 Jacquez Shuler – Carolina Wolves
Jacquez Shuler is an emerging big man prospect that’s developing in the post and showed off nice range with his shot. He showed poise in the rebounding game all weekend long and even made a few 3-pointers on the weekend. He’ll be a prospect to keep an eye on at Gray Collegiate this season.
6’4 Michael Boney – WCBA Elite Blue
Michael Boney was one of the main options for WCBA Elite Blue this past weekend and he did well to show off his stuff. He put up 17.5 points per game on the weekend with a personal-best of 25 points in a 72-67 win over Vizion in their opening game. He’s a wing prospect that can knock down the 3-ball and get to the rim.
6’2 Armon Muldrew – WCBA Elite Blue
Armon Muldrew is an emerging prospect that shined with WCBA Elite Blue as well. He can get to the rim and has an underrated mid-range game that he utilizes well. Muldrew has offers from UC-Riverside and Eastern Washington and is drawing interest from Lipscomb, San Jose and Charlotte. He’ll be a breakout player to watch at Panther Creek this season.
6’5 Jakeem Verdier – DTA Elite
Jakeem Verdier was a smooth operator inside and out for DTA Elite at BigShots Carolina Slam. He showed his ability to move without the ball and rebound all weekend long on the wing and in the paint. He put up 13.7 points per game playing third option to Anthony Allen and Trevon Williams this past weekend. He’s a role player that does exceptionally well in the rotation.
5’11 Kobe Copeland – Vizion
Kobe Copeland was one of the main scorers for Vizion at BigShots Carolina Slam. He showed off his ability to get to the rim and his range from behind the arc all weekend. He made a total of 12 3-pointers in the 17U division, good for fourth overall. He’s a prospect to keep an eye on at
