Joel Pettiford, 6-6 215, PF, 2019, SW Guilford HS, High Point, NC
This young man was a mainstay for his Southwest Guilford “Cowboys” High School team, which recently completed an undefeated season on their way to the 3A State Championship in North Carolina.
Joel is a strong athlete, with explosive verticality, which enabled him to be a real force on the boards for the “Cowboys” which deployed a constant pressing scheme, which utilized a deep roster, in sweeping through their undefeated season.
Joel is an under the radar prospect, who is a bit undersized for the Big Forward position, but he is a capable player, whose strength and verticality enable him to the get the job done.

Dhienu Dieng, 6-4 175, 2G, 2019, Southern Guilford HS, Greensboro, NC
This lean Two-Guard is a good athlete and a very good shooter/scorer, who helped lead his Southern Guilford High School team to one of its best season ever this past season. He’s another under the radar prospect that colleges are missing the boat on. Why is he under the radar. He played AAU basketball, but not for one of the high profile team, so he wasn’t seen. Caleb Burgess, 6-3 175, 1G, 2019, Moravian Prep, Hudson, NC – Pictured above
This young man has improved his play through hard work over the last three years. As recently as last October, I was still not convinced that he was a point guard. During the course of the past season, he sharpened his handle, improved at changing speeds, which gave him better court vision and he became more of a vocal leader. His mid-range jumper also has become a solid weapon, through more hard work.

Jaqwan Baylor, 6-8. 2019, Bertie County HS, Windsor, NC
I only saw this young man briefly, but I saw enough to say that he’s a possible Division one prospect, but definitely a Division II prospect. A late bloomer, he is good athlete, who runs well. He put up good numbers in high school, which were close to a double-double average. He scored at a 10.3 points per game clip, while averaging 9.8 rebounds. He also blocked 2.6 opponent shots, per game.
