Josh Brown 6’3 SG / Aleif Hastings /2022
Cooz Elite 15U. This young prospect has a nice skill set. It will be intriguing to watch him over the next three years. He has a good handle on the ball. Has bounce to his game. Had two dunks in the game. One on a fast break the other over a opponent. He knocked down a pair of three pointers also. Plays with a high motor. This was my first time seeing this prospect so I had to watch him again. His game has the consistency, just needs some fine tuning that will come over the years.
Owen Pewee 6’1 G / Cypress Park / 2022
iRise Basketball. Another bouncy guard that plays with a high motor. Get’s after it on the court. Scrappy defender that jumps the passing lanes quick, fast, and in a hurry. Plays above the rim. When he dunks its more of a cradle because he can’t palm the ball yet. Will definitely keep an eye out for this prospect as well.
Brody Robinson 5’6 PG / Klein Cain / 2022
F.A.M. Elite 15U guard is strapped up and ready to fire. Small guard with a strap. Shoots the trey ball at a high rate. He is a corner specialist. Has a good handle on the ball. Quick two steps off the dribble. Will be interesting to see how he grows over the years in height and skill set.
Bryce Griggs 6’2 SG / Fort Bend Hightower / 2022 PHTX25
Team Harden 16U. Last year as an 8th grader he played 16U and did farely well. That experience plus Varsity starter as freshman really has molded him. He has been dominating so far on the 16U level. Has quick dribble and quick twitch which allows him to get by defenders and create space. Scores a t a high rate from all levels. Uses his body well when attacking. Still interested to see how his body will mold over these next 3 years of High School. He is the number 1 player in his class in the state for a reason. He is a tough assignment.
Eddie Lampkin 6’10 C / Morton Ranch / 2020 PHTX100
Houston Defenders is looking excellent. Eddie has toned up his body some. Which has made him more physical and faster. He runs the floor extremely well for his size. Get’s involved in every possession. Rebounds the ball well. Has the best passing IQ I’ve seen in a big. Plays great with a face up game. Has good footwork in the post also. He’s a force defensively on the inside.
Elijah Elliott 6’1 PG / St Thomas Catholic / 2020 PHTX100
Hyperfuse has one of the top scoring points in the state. Elliott has every aspect of scoring in his tool bag. In the paint, mid-range, and from deep. Off the dribble, catch and shoot, fade away, and highly contested shots. He has a super quick first step. He is adding bounce to his game, and will be looking to put someone in the rim soon. Played solid on the defensive side of the ball as well.
Noah Kon 6’0 PG / Houston Christian / 2021 PHTX50
Houston Defenders 16U prospect. He is another scoring point guard but also looks to facilitate. He facilitates more on his Grassroots team then his School team. He is aggressive on the attack to the rim. Has a good handle on the ball. Mid-range to the rim he is money. Needs to improve his three point shooting. Great lateral movement to keep his defender in front. He will dunk on you or block you at the rim.
Jordan Teal 6’2 SG / LBJ Austin / 2020 PHTX100
Urban ASAK scoring guard. Played solid in both games on Saturday. He is a solid catch and shoot player from the outside. Can also take his man off the dribble to the rim. Used the glass on multiple shots which you rarely see anymore. Decent lateral movement defensively. Kinda springy guy who has bounce in his game.
