Jamison Battle of DeLaSalle. The stock of the 6-foot-7 face-up forward continues to rise and this game will certainly help him. For more treys on a 10 of 14 shooting day, 28 points in all. Throw in seven rebounds and four steals and it was an MVP performance for a top 350 level forward currently committed to George Washington. Princeton is a big team and they couldn’t keep Battle off the offensive boards or stop his one or two dribble attack finishes.
Ryan Dufault of Waseca. The shooter of the day in the Target Center! His momentum push was also the sequence game changer of Thursday. Dufault made a three, made another three, and then capped off the momentum boost with an attacking finish. His personal 8-0 run that changed the game. Ryan scored 30 points on 11 of 17 shooting including four triples.
Andrew Morgan of Waseca. The conversation continues to be that 6-foot-8 Andrew Morgan is a top five player/prospect in the 2021 class and once again, this point was proved. Morgan scored on 11 of 12 field goals and many of those scores involved his agility sprinting ahead/behind the defense and quickly elevating to complete plays. Scored 23 points with 15 rebounds that included six offensive boards. Austin had no chance at blocking out not just the height or Morgan but the strength he has added.
Medi Obang of Austin. This senior has a quickness with the basketball I wasn’t prepared for. Some guys seem to slow with the ball but for Medi it’s like a super power that gives him a fifth gear. Medi made half of his 20 shot attempts and that included six shots behind the arc. He scored 28 points in all for an Austin team that is 24-6.
Tyrell Terry of DeLaSalle. The Stanford commit led the Islanders to a 93-54 victory over Princeton putting together a 22 point, 12 board, 6 assist game in 30 minutes. Terry was a knife through butter with his attack in this contest and when Princeton tried to be physical with him Terry stepped to his opponents nose to nose. He scored on 9 of 16 attempts and 4 of 5 foul shots.
Next Five
Kameron Givens of DeLaSalle. Givens continues to step up and be that third option for this Islanders team. Givens made 9 of 12 shots for 19 points.
Jalen Travis of DeLaSalle. The D1 football prospect put together a 14 point, 6 rebound game scoring on 7 of 11 shots.
Kyreese Willingham of Waseca. Kyreese had 14 points, nine boards, and five assists shooting 6 of 15 for the game.
Malik Willingham of Waseca. Tough shooting day for Malik but he made 8 of 13 foul shots plus grabbed eight boards.
Adam Williams of Princeton. The versatile guard scored 21 points with five boards.
