Northwest Classic: Pool B Player Recaps (Part II)
We continue our coverage of the top prospects from the teams in Pool B and detail how they did in the showcase games at the Northwest Classic. Safe to say that Pool B was a very competitive pool.
Fort Worth O.D. Wyatt Chaparrals
Toney Green Toney Green 6'4" | SF O.D. Wyatt | 2021 State TX / 6’4″ / SG / Fort Worth O.D. Wyatt / 2021
The dual-sport athlete does it all for Chaps. He plays out of his position in the front court and uses his strong frame to get physical with opposing big men. His athletic player build is intriguing. He possesses tremendous size and athleticism at his age. Toney will be a key contributor for the Chaps for years to come.
Kendrick Brown / 6’0″ / SG / Fort Worth O.D. Wyatt / 2019
????Hidden Gem????
Kendrick provides the senior leadership on a young Wyatt squad. He assists in ball handling duties and is one of the Chaps’ best perimeter shooting options. The unsigned senior heated up in the game vs. Mansfield and scored an impressive 21 points.
Mansfield Tigers
Terrell Williams / 6’5″ / SF / Mansfield / 2019
Terrell was playing with a great amount of confidence. He is a true wing who is a catch and shoot threat from deep. Terrell also finishes strong through contact in transition. He plays hard and can also make something happen above the rim in the open floor. He currently has an offer from Colorado-Colorado Springs and the staff is currently trying to get him on campus for a visit.
T.J. Justus / 6’5″ / PF / Mansfield / 2019
T.J. was always at the right place at the right time on the offensive end. He is a workhorse who banged on the inside and finished with a soft touch in the paint. T.J. also spaced the floor with his shooting off the catch from three. He possesses the toughness that college coaches love.
Shannon Lowery Shannon Lowery 6'5" | SF Frisco Memorial | 2021 State TX / 6’4″ / SF / Mansfield / 2021
Spectators were surprised about Shannon’s abilities as a high school sophomore. He is a decent ball handler and an aggressive slasher who wants to get to the rim. He has a strong body and is not bothered by contact when trying to score at the basket. Shannon has a great chance to make even a bigger name for himself this season on a senior-led Tigers team.
