Johnson got off to a quick start in the first half scoring on drives with tough reverse layups to avoid Grayson’s shot blockers. In total, Parrish had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. As he showcased on Saturday, Johnson is a crafty finisher and an effective defender with switchability.

Filling the stat sheet was no problem for the wiry long guard. Johnson recorded 17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 1 block in his first game of the day. He ignited fastbreaks by collecting rebounds and either pushing the ball up the floor himself or dropping pinpoint outlet passes. When he looked to score, Johnson did so by getting to the rim. He showed nice touch finishing with reverse layups.

The senior guard out of Kell managed to standout all day, despite playing his role selflessly. Prior to Saturday, I was naive to Johnson’s passing ability but he showed some really impressive court vision and setup several teammates for easy buckets. Johnson’s game will translate well at the next level so it’ll be interesting to see where he ultimately lands.
