Continue ReadingJude impressed me with his tight handle and scoring ability off the dribble. He shot the ball very well from three and was able to get to his spots in the mid-range. He scored going both left and right when getting into his jumper. Ellis spearheads an exciting young nucleus at Union County.

Thomas is speedy quick. He’s a pest on defense, picking up 94-feet as he turns ball handlers. Caleb provides a spark on offense, skilled at getting into the lane and finishing with his floater but also savvy with his passing.

Filling the stat sheet was no problem for the wiry long guard. Johnson recorded 17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 1 block in his first game of the day. He ignited fastbreaks by collecting rebounds and either pushing the ball up the floor himself or dropping pinpoint outlet passes. When he looked to score, Johnson did so by getting to the rim. He showed nice touch finishing with reverse layups.
One of Bartow County’s very best is wired to score. Foster slices the defense to shreds as he slinks his way to the basket. The slender guard has a great first step and harnesses the athleticism to explode up to the rim. Jayden did a nice job of distributing as well. With his ability to get into the lane, Foster can wreck teams with his drive-and-kick vision.
If you don’t have a high motor, you can’t play at Spencer. Mobley brought the energy that won a state title in March to the Expo on Saturday. The strongly built guard made plays all over the floor, rebounding, assisting and defending. Mobley did much of his offensive damage in transition going coast-to-coast. In the halfcourt, Ryan hit a pair of threes and a mid-range jumper. He finished with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks in his first game of the day.
