Recruiting News in NC!
Farmville Central is a place that will see quite a few college coaches walk through the doors over the next few years. Starting on Monday the fun will begin with ECU & UNCW both dropping in to see 2020 Guard Justin Wright & 2021 Guard Terquavion Smith. Wright is a player that can fill it up quickly and get his whole team going, Smith is also a player that can score at a very high level and looks like he will have another growth spurt in him.
Southern Durham HS 2019 Guard Jayvis Harvey has been blowing up recruitment wise over the last few months and recently added offers from Elon, Radford and Northwestern. It will be interesting to see how things go for this youngster and what school eventually lands him, however we love what he brings to the table without a doubt.
South Central HS has seen its fair share of college coaches come thru their gym, now with Dayron Sharpe already committed to UNC, the attention will shift to Guard Shykiem Phillips who is a scoring machine that D1 programs are impressed with.
New Life Christian & Northwood Temple will host VMI this week, NLCA Wing Reggie Raynor and Northwood Temple Forward Brandon Franklin are two players that VMI has on their radar at this point. Both programs have multiple players that can on the next level and will have plenty of college coaches dropping in.
Grace Christian 2019 Guard Evan Cheek has been picking up more interest as of late with recent interest from: Seattle, Randolph College and NC Wesleyan. Cheek has a nice ability to score the ball and will be a huge part of the success of Grace Christian this season.
Moravian Prep picked up 2019 Wing Josh Hall who is a player that colleges at the D1 level love, he’s a player with a long wingspan and legit height at 6’7 that can play the SG or SF. His ability to score the ball at a nice level is something that catches your attention early and we feel he can be an early impact player.
Trinity Christian 2019 Guard DJ Horne verbally committed to Illinois State this past weekend and is a nice pickup for the program. Horne can score the ball at a very high level and should be able to do some nice things early on.
