Pierre Brooks II (6’5”, SG, Detroit Frederick Douglass)
Prep Hoops National Ranking: #102
Prep Hoops has Brooks as a 3 and half star recruit. He is one of the most polished players on a national scale. Brooks has a college ready frame that allows him to play through contact. He has a high basketball IQ and is just as intelligent off the court, where he is a 4.0 GPA student. Brooks is easily a top 100 talent.
Foster Wonders (6’4”, SF, Iron Mountain)
Prep Hoops National Ranking: #152
Prep Hoops has Wonders as a 3 star recruit. He continues the trend of Michigan players with polished all around games. Wonders is an efficient scorer who finds good looks at the basket. He’s a force in the paint, especially when attacking the rim. Wonders works hard on both ends of the floor and can be counted on to make hustle plays. He certainly has the skills to be ranked in the top 100.
Jaden Akins (6’2′, PG, Farmington)
Prep Hoops National Ranking: #184
Prep Hoops has Akins as a 3 star recruit. Akins is extremely versatile and athletic. He can play both as the primary ball handler and off the ball. He was a bucket getter and scorer all summer. Akins is very smooth with the ball in his hands. He has a huge upside as a player and could certainly be considered a top 100 player.
Legend Geeter (6’5”, SF, River Rouge)
Prep Hoops National Ranking: #221
Geeter is listed as a 3 star recruit by Prep Hoops. He is a strong player who knows how to finish at the rim. Geeter is active around the basket, where he can back down a defender or use his strong frame to get to the rim. He’s a solid passer from the high post as well. Geeter has the potential to rise up the rankings to the top 100.
Simon Wheeler (5’8”, PG, Ferndale)
Prep Hoops National Ranking: #225
Wheeler is a 3 star prospect according to Prep Hoops National Rankings. He’s an aggressive point guard with a quick first step and the ability to change directions on a dime. Wheeler has great body control when attacking the basket. He plays hard on both ends of the floor. Wheeler has a great upside and could rise up the rankings toward the top 100.
Keyon Menifield Jr. (5’8”, PG, Flint Beecher)
Prep Hoops National Ranking: Unranked
Menifield could easily be considered a 3 star prospect. He’s a fast and aggressive point guard. Menifield Jr. has a great crossover move and is at his best when attacking off the dribble. He has all the skills needed to be considered a top recruit nationally and should rise up the recruiting rankings.
Julian Roper (6’2”, SG, Detroit Country Day)
Prep Hoops National Ranking: Unranked
Roper has the talent of a ranked player. He had one of the best freshman seasons in Michigan in 2017-2018. Roper is athletic and can score from all three levels. He’s an excellent defender who takes pride in that part of his game. Roper is yet another fundamentally sound and polished player in Michigan’s 2021 class. He should see himself shoot up the rankings in time.
