Recruiting Report: Tra’Von Fagan (2016)
One of the best available players in Iowa’s class of 2016 is no longer on the board.
Though Cedar Falls small forward Tra’Von Fagan has not yet officially signed with a program, he’s decided that Tyler Junior College in Texas is be where he’ll play next season.
The renowned JuCo reached out to the 6-foot-7 senior last month, and offered him shortly after.
Fagan did mention other schools has reached out to him very recently, like South Dakota and Florida Southwestern (JuCo). But he’s still set on the the Tyler, TX JuCo.
“I think that Tyler would be the best option for me, and I plan to sign when I go down there to visit in April,” said Fagan.
The athletic wing/post hybrid has become increasingly skilled over the past year, and says he likes Tyler because of the coaching staff and the likelihood of his playing high-level basketball after he leaves the school.
“I did some research and the coach sounded like someone I could get along with. And I talked to some other coaches down there and they were cool,” said Fagan.
“And they have a lot of players that go on to the next level, and I want to do that. I think they give me the best chance to do that.”
