Andersen might be the most intriguing breakout candidate of this group because there was truly flashes shown last year. He was only a sophomore last year but popped at times that he got extended minutes. He reached double figures against Lakewood and Dakota Ridge with 10 points apiece and followed that with a season-high 11 against Riverdale Ridge. What stands out is how naturally he plays alongside the teams best scorer and if he can build some chemistry with him early, that will go a long way. Andersen spaces the floor, recognizes when to attack an opening, and isn’t afraid to give the ball up for a better look. With more shots and a bigger offensive role coming his way, we wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes one of the conference’s biggest surprises. He’s a new name worth following.
