Wade isn’t someone whose numbers have popped off just yet and maybe that will never be his calling card, but there’s a place for players who are willing to do the dirty work. After grinding his way into varsity minutes last season, the 6’1″ wing has an opportunity to become a valuable piece for Green Mountain. His athleticism can be useful defensively, especially if he embraces guarding different positions and making opponents uncomfortable. Offensively, if he’s able to take care of the ball, make the extra pass, and knowing when to cut will be important as that gives them a option that others haven’t gamed plan for just yet. Wade doesn’t need to be a scorer to be a piece that can help them severely, just has to star in his role as a rebounder, defender and play smart basketball. We’ll keep an eye out for him this year as a new name.
