Moving Up the Board: 2028 Prospects to Know

Our <a href="https://prephoops.com/georgia/rankings/2028-rankings/">Updated 2028 Rankings</a> have expanded to include 136 players in the junior class. Camps, showcases and tournaments during June and July provided plenty of opportunties for our staff to evaluate prospects from around the state. Here is a closer look at five 2028 prospects that are moving up.    Purnell is a quick, attacking lead guard who consistently puts pressure on the defense off the dribble. He is difficult for defenders to keep out of the paint and is a creative finisher who can score in a variety of ways around the basket. Purnell also competes on the defensive end, where he is a willing and active on-ball defender.     Caldwell moved into the Top 60 of our updated 2028 rankings and continues to trend up as a prospect. The junior is an athletic frontcourt prospect who plays with a high motor. He can attack off the bounce on straight line drives and finish effectively around the rim. Caldwell brings significant value on the defensive end, where his athleticism and mobility allow him to guard multiple positions. He is also an active rebounder who consistently impacts the glass on both ends of the floor.     LoPresti moved into the Top 70 of our updated 2028 rankings after continuing to impress during July. The junior point guard has an excellent command of the basketball and has proven he can impact the game as both a scorer and distributor. He sees the floor well, is an accurate passer and shows a strong understanding of how to use ball screens and read defenders. LoPresti is also a capable perimeter shot maker with range beyond the arc, giving him a diverse offensive skill set at the lead guard position.     Cromwell is an intriguing, versatile combo forward with good size, length and plenty of upside. He has inside/outside scoring ability and can score at all three levels, including knocking down open perimeter shots when given space. Cromwell also brings value on the defensive end with the ability to guard multiple positions and change shots in the paint. He moved up 16 spots in our updated rankings and has the tools to continue climbing as his game develops.     Agbasi is a strong, left handed guard with good positional size and the versatility to play all three perimeter positions. He is especially effective attacking the basket and getting to the rim, while his improved perimeter shot making has added another dimension to his offensive game. Agbasi also brings value on the defensive end, where his size, strength and versatility give him the potential to develop into a high level defender.
