Wings of Note – 2030 Watch List

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After profiling a few of the <em>guards</em> out of the <em>Class of 2030</em>, it's time to turn our attention to the <em>wings</em>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is already a strong group for this class and has multiple prospects with high profiles in and outside of New England.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Below are five <em>wings</em> worth following as these prospects head into their freshman seasons:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["3711924"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6a91c03926a5b"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Landers, a wing out of <em>Austin Preparatory School</em> in Massachusetts, was a standout performer in <em>The Summer Draft League</em> after a strong travel season with the <em>Middlesex Magic</em>. The 6'3" wing can really shoot the basketball and has developed both his athleticism and ability to make plays off the bounce. With his length and instincts, he should be a versatile defender that makes an impact on the glass both in space and in traffic. Formerly out of <em>Brookline</em>, Lezema has a strong frame and is a tough cover when he gets downhill off the bounce. He's developed his perimeter jumper over the last 6 months and profiles as a mismatch on the wing with his combination of mobility, skill, size, and strength. At 6'3", he has terrific size on the wing and plays in a way that doesn't require him to score to make an impact. He can score it around the basket and from behind the arc, shows the ability to make others better as a passer, and does a nice job of moving without the basketball. He made an impact for <em>Canton</em> as a freshman and continued to have success on the travel circuit with the <em>Middlesex Magic</em> this summer before announcing his transfer and reclassification at <em>Thayer</em>. The 6'6" wing plays at different speeds, does a nice job of using his length as a finisher, and makes high level decisions with the ball in his hands. A big and skilled wing, he's terrific on the offensive end of the floor where he gets to his spots off the bounce, elevates over defenders as a shooter, and finishes it in a variety of ways around the rim. As good as he is offensively, he might be even better on the defensive end of the floor, where his physical tools allow him to guard up and down a lineup and his instincts allow him to be a disruptive playmaker.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Up next, we'll highlight <em>forwards</em> from this class, as well as a few more prospects that we'll have our eyes on this fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
