[player_tooltip player_id='3625813' first='Bracey' last='Markley'] has taken ahold of the #1 spot in the latest 2029 rankings. The 6'10 center is now attending Bishop Gorman, where he is sure to make his presence felt on both ends of the court. Defensively, Markley causes issues for attackers on a regular basis, using his height and length to alter and swat shots. Plus, he grabs a good amount of rebounds. On offense, Markley converts finishes when he's in the paint, scores second-chance points, and dunks with ease. With his size, his long-term potential is quite high, especially if he keeps adding more layers to his game on offense. He's a true downhill threat, and defenders have a tough time slowing him down. He's also been a playmaker out there, dishing out quality dump-off passes and looking for his shooters throughout the AAU season and Scholastic Live Period events. When it comes to his defense, he doesn't give his matchup much breathing room. And he likes to push the pace post-turnover if he or a teammate comes up with a steal. He utilizes his burst to blow right by defenders who fall out of position. And he is more than capable of punching home dunks and alley-oops. In addition to his entertaining play on offense, he is a hard nosed defender who collects steals and blocks shots. Like Hunter, he has been suiting up for Vegas Elite's EYBL team and Somerset Losee this summer, where he had turned heads with his size and two-way impact. He's becoming even more effective on defense, where he can truly clog up the lane. And he utilizes his anticipation skills to be disruptive. I also like how he trails in transition and will putback any near misses. Bunyan makes himself available on the block as well, where he can lay it up if his guards find him. Expect him to continue to take his game to new heights.     Damari Sawall has been a standout this spring and summer. He is a reliable bucket getter on offense and routinely drops in jumpers and not-so-easy finishes. The pressure Sawall applies also helps him get to the line, where he can do more damage. And he seems to be hitting 3's more and more often. The 6'2 CG works hard on the defensive end too, and he is typically good for 4–5 rebounds per game. Considering his scoring prowess, he could be one of the top scorers in the state once the HS season is underway.
