Bryson Walrup Bryson Walrup 6'3" | PG/SG Bettendorf | 2029 IA really impressed me with his profile as a skilled perimeter-scoring wing. His makeup as a prospect is very unique. As he is a long, athletic wing that is very agile and fluid with enticing ball skills. His jump shot was extremely effective and efficient. He displayed an extremely brief release that he could pull into at any moment and hit over defenders’ contests. He hit many deep off-the-catch threes that he got off in very short space. And the main reason for this capability was his balanced and fundamental footwork as a shooter. Leading to a very efficient showing for him as a shooter at this event. His threat as a shooter opened up the offense for his team, as defenders were forced to stay in his face and he excelled at leveraging this threat with his connective passing. His fluidity and nimbleness as a ball handler at his size stood out to me as well. And overall, he was a perfect complementary piece to his team’s offense. While also being a versatile and switchable defender on the other end. He displayed great balance on closeouts, great on-ball perimeter defense, and timely rotations and switches. Keeping the other team’s offense at bay.
