There were no shortages of talented backcourt prospects on display at GBCA Live, as several guards and wings used the weekend to showcase their skill sets against quality competition. He is a combo guard, who thrives when the ball is in his hands, consistently breaking down defenders and applying relentless pressure on the rim. His first step, change of pace, and ability to navigate through traffic allowed him to generate paint touches throughout the weekend, forcing defenses to collapse and opening opportunities for teammates. Once in the lane, Bryson displayed advanced court vision and a willingness to make the extra pass, showing that he is just as comfortable creating for others as he is finishing himself. His polished mid-range game gives him another layer offensively, as he confidently rises up over defenders and consistently knocks down pull-up jumpers. Around the basket, he showcased creativity, body control, and touch, finishing through contact and around shot blockers.

[player_tooltip player_id='3651066' first='Christian' last='Gatewood'] (6'6/SF/2027/Eastside)

Christian's versatility immediately jumped off the floor throughout the weekend. He has positional size, length, and athleticism, and he consistently impacts winning with his competitive nature. He runs the floor, creating easy scoring opportunities by beating defenders down the floor. In the half court, he attacks closeouts with confidence, using long strides and athleticism to get downhill and finish at the rim. He is a slasher which makes him a difficult matchup for opposing forwards, while his size allows him to play through contact around the basket. Defensively, he covers ground well, contest shots with his length, defends multiple positions, and attacks the glass with consistent effort.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194592' first='Pierce' last='Strom'] (6'2/SG/2028/Milton)

IG: Piercestrom

X: @Piercestrom

Pierce proved to be one of the premier perimeter shooters in attendance and consistently punished defenses that failed to locate him. His shooting mechanics are clean, repeatable, and quick, allowing him to get quality looks whether spotting up or moving without the basketball. He showed outstanding confidence from beyond the arc, never hesitating to step into big shots regardless of the situation. What makes Pierce especially dangerous is his ability to maintain shooting efficiency while playing at game speed, making him a constant floor-spacing weapon. Defenders were forced to stay attached to him, creating additional spacing for his teammates and opening driving lanes throughout the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='3266109' first='Jaylen' last='Samuel'] (6'5/SG/2027/St. Francis HS)

IG: thejaylensamuel

X: @jaylensamuel3

Jaylen showcased the complete offensive package throughout GBCA Live. He has positional size coupled with athleticism, and he showed the ability to shoot comfortably over smaller defenders while also having the skill set to attack bigger defenders off the bounce. He knocked down perimeter jumpers with confidence, forcing defenders to close out aggressively and once they committed he efficiently attacked gaps, getting downhill and finishing at the basket with control and strength. His ability to score from all three levels makes him an extremely difficult matchup because defenses cannot simply take away one aspect of his game.

Brandon Pitts (6'7/SG/2027/Coral Glades)

IG: _nolimit.b

X: @Brandon_Pitt13

Brandon possesses one of the smoother offensive games among the wing prospects in attendance. He has positional size with perimeter skills, allowing him to create mismatches against a variety of defenders. He never appeared rushed offensively, consistently playing under control while allowing the game to come to him. He scored efficiently from multiple areas of the floor, displaying touch around the basket, confidence shooting from the perimeter, and the ability to create his own offense off the dribble. His ball skills and feel for the game enable him to make good reads and maintain offensive flow rather than forcing difficult shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2711227' first='De'Cori' last='Fleming'] (6'4/PG/2027/Butler HS)

IG: _.iammxoriii

X: @.xwiththeshifts

TikTok: .xwiththeshifts

De'Cori was one of the more polished lead guards on the floor throughout the weekend. He has positional size for the PG spot, which allows him to see over defenses while effectively directing the offense. He consistently demonstrated a mature floor game by controlling tempo, making quality reads, and ensuring teammates were involved. He was really good at getting to his spots, particularly in the mid-range, where he displayed outstanding balance, touch, and confidence as a pull-up shooter. His patience with the rock allows him to manipulate defenders before creating scoring opportunities for himself or facilitating easy looks for teammates.

There were no shortages of talented backcourt prospects on display at GBCA Live, as several guards and wings used the weekend to showcase their skill sets against quality competition. Whether it was creating offense, knocking down perimeter shots, making winning plays, or impacting the game on both ends of the floor, these prospects consistently stood out and proved they belong on the radar moving forward…
