Indiana All-Star Classic – Junior Games Top Performers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 18th annual Indiana Boys All-Star Basketball Classic took place at Anderson University on Friday. This event features two games with Class of 2027 prospects competing against one another and two games with Class of 2028 and Class of 2029 prospects competing against one another. Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage throughout the day from this event. The 6'7" forward/center who holds a few Division I offers already not only controlled the paint but also showed off a smooth three-point shooting stroke. That development has really allowed him to expand his game. The 6'2" guard from Jay County High School is a good athlete and very skilled with the ball in his hands offensively. He ended up finishing with 20 points and 8 assists. This was the third straight time we have seen this rising senior prospect play well. We've now seen him at the IBCA Top 100, at Super Hoopers, and on Friday at the Indiana All-Star Classic. Hughes is so skilled both as a shot-maker and as a playmaker. He made three three-point shots in the opening quarter, made a fourth tough one off of the dribble early in the second quarter, and then started to really crash the offensive glass. He ended up making five three-point shots on his way to a team-leading 23 points. Page can make them from well beyond the arc, makes them on the move, or can knock them in when a defender goes under a ballscreen or handoff. The 6'3" guard utilized his positional size and strength to get some things done off of the dribble, but it was his three-point shooting that really took his performance to another level. He caught fire from beyond the arc making all six of his three-point shots in the final 10 minutes or so of the game. This 6'1" guard from Decatur Central High School is already established as one of the best catch-and-shoot threats in the state.
