DJ Scott DJ Scott 6'3" | PF Heathwood Hall | 2030 SC is one of two Heathwood Hall freshmen who will be difference-makers for them over the next four years. Scott has a really impressive frame, and if he hits another big growth spurt, he will quickly turn into a prospect college coaches want to become familiar with. He showed off his fluidity in moving around the court and sound feet around the rim, as well as a developing outside shot that could get better with time and work. This 2030 is one to watch in SCISA this season.

DJ was one of the most dominant interior presences at the Freshman Showcase. His combination of size, strength, and fluidity makes him a very difficult matchup for young bigs, but when he got a guard switched onto him, it was over. Scott did show some more skill than I’ve seen from him in previous instances, such as an improved handle to create things off the dribble and push the pace after defensive rebounds.

From a physical standpoint, DJ is one of the more intriguing players in the 2030 class. Listed at 6’3″, he has good size, and his big frame allows him to play even taller in the paint. But, just because he is big and young, don’t mistake that for a lack of polish. Scott had a nice hop-step finish, ran the floor well in transition, and impressed with some passing as he racked up 6 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks against First Baptist on Friday.
