Jack is a 6’9 big man from Glen Allen High School, and he has improved drastically since his junior year. He’s playing with Team Loaded Gold this summer and has shown his growth in his physicality, finishing ability, and defensive presence. He’s a traditional big man with a high motor who can have double-double games, and he’s shown that a handful of times this summer with Glen Allen and Team Loaded. He’s an absolute workhorse who lives in the gym and loves to compete. He’s been sought after by many D3 programs, and he will play a key role at Glen Allen and in their success moving forward.

The 6-foot-9 forward delivered a pair of highly productive outings, recording a 10-point, 10-rebound, 2-steal double-double in one victory while adding 11 points and 7 rebounds on 80% shooting in another. Bateman has become one of the most reliable interior presences for Team Loaded Gold , consistently impacting games through rebounding, rim protection, and physical play.

His size immediately catches your attention, but what makes Bateman effective is how hard he competes. He embraces physicality, finishes through contact, and does a great job carving out space around the basket. Defensively, he uses his length well to alter shots and control the paint, while his rebounding allows his team to finish possessions and ignite transition opportunities.

Perhaps most encouraging is the growth in his overall skill set. Bateman continues to become more comfortable offensively and is showing increased confidence every weekend. That development has not gone unnoticed, as he has recently begun receiving college interest and is scheduled to visit Regent University on June 5.

Bateman is a high academic frontcourt prospect who continues to impress with his combination of skill, strength, and feel around the basket. He is an effective low post scorer with good touch, particularly over his left shoulder using his right hand, and shows comfort operating with his back to the basket. Bateman also has enough skill and confidence to step away from the paint and knock down open jump shots, adding versatility to his offensive game. He rebounds his area well, uses his strength effectively in traffic, and consistently competes with a high motor.
