While teams battled for bracket dominance, several prospects put on absolute clinics in the scoring department. From dynamic transition finishes to elite shot-making, these perimeter threats consistently lit up the scoreboard.   Here is a look at the top scorers who stood out from the weekend's action in Plainfield. Playing both on and off the ball, the athletc guard got to the rim at will , using smooth handles and a sudden burst to get downhill. He consistently changes speeds to keep defenders off balance and can finish high above or creatively around rim protectors. Combine that with a lethal mid-range pull-up and a reliable stroke from beyond the arc, and it's easy to see how he racked up multiple 30-point outings this weekend. He is a dynamic, high-twitch guard who puts relentless pressure on the defense. His quickness off the bounce makes him an absolute nightmare to contain in single coverage. Taylor excels at attacking downhill, absorbing contact at the rim, and manipulating defenses to get to the free-throw line. What makes him special, though, is how he uses that driving threat to open up his perimeter jumper. He also turned defense into offense, using sharp anticipation in the passing lanes to fuel easy transition buckets. Venckus features a remarkably quick, concise release and legitimate deep range, punishing defenses both off the catch and on rhythm pull-ups. He fits beautifully into [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last='']'s structured system, utilizing smart backdoor cuts that often ended in emphatic dunks. While his shooting stretches the floor, Venckus is a highly functional athlete who wins on straight-line drives and possesses great vision to dish the rock when the defense collapses. Throw in a couple of defensive blocks and a pick-six steal for a slam, and he had a complete weekend.     Tony Salemi (6'3" / CBG 2026)     Salemi used the Plainfield platform to show exactly why his recruitment deserves a late spring bump. The unsigned senior guard is highly skilled, plays with an incredibly mature pace, and uses an effective change-of-speed game to dictate terms to his defender. He possesses great upper-body strength, allowing him to shield off defenders on drives and finish through contact, but he's equally dangerous letting it fly from deep. Salemi consistently looking like a college-ready guard who can impact a winning program right now.     [player_tooltip player_id='2125677' first='Reggie' last='Stevens'] (GPA 2028)     Stevens is a long, lanky guard who plays with a striking amount of poise and control for a young prospect. He glides across the court effortlessly, utilizing a shifty handle and advanced footwork to create space cleanly whenever needed. Stevens has great touch on his jumper and possesses the rare ability to get hot and fill up the stat sheet in a matter of minutes. He showed great patience operating in the paint, never letting opposing pressure speed him up, and solidified his status as a true three-level scorer to watch closely moving forward.     [player_tooltip player_id='2964301' first='Jamir' last='Malone'] (6'0" / IL Attack 2028)     Malone brought a palpable level of toughness, physicality, and competitive fire to the floor every single possession on Sunday. Malone is a strong-bodied guard who lives in the paint by staying low, absorbing heavy contact, and exploding off two feet to power through interior defenders. He was strong, making his living around the rim and using the glass beautifully. Beyond his downhill scoring, Malone has an explosive second jump that allows him to play much bigger than his listing, consistently crashing the offensive glass for second-chance points and rebounding at a high level for a guard.     Jayden McGraw (6'4" / 937 Hoop Dreams 2027)     While the guards dominated the perimeter, McGraw deserves special recognition for a dominant 34-point performance against Geek Squad. The physical, active forward put on a masterclass of interior footwork, strength, and soft touch. He scored via hard cuts, post ups, and offensive putbacks, while also flashing perimeter versatility by stepping out to knock down a wing triple. When double teams inevitably arrived, McGraw showed great vision, patiently skipping passes out to open shooters.   [player_tooltip player_id='3219307' first='Elijah' last='Smith'] (Shoebox Sports 2027)   Despite being the smallest player on this list, the crafty guard was an absolute wizard with the ball in his hands, repeatedly breaking defenders down off the dribble and living in the paint. Smith is a highly unselfish playmaker who served up dime after dime to his teammates, but he is equally dangerous when he hunts his own shot. He features an incredibly advanced live-dribble package and can finish creatively at the basket with either hand. When opposing defenses tried to go under screens to contain his burst, he made them pay immediately by pulling up from deep, proving he is a legitimate three-level scoring threat who commands defensive attention the moment he crosses halfcourt.
