Bontrager is a new name that should turn some heads this year as he brings an interesting element to Golden’s frontcourt because he’s comfortable doing the work around the basket. Rebounding is where he can make his biggest impact if he’s able to use his frame, compete on the glass and put a body on someone. He will not have to score or have plays run for him but just by moving within the offense and cleaning up the glass he should be able to make a mark. Consistency will be what this team needs and if he brings that, he should be a player who Golden gives longer stints to. I want him to focus on finishing through contact, grabbing the board and finding the guard to give it to and setting screens while showing he can operate in a half court set. He can be a reliable interior presence and try and establish himself early for Golden.
