Abood put together a stellar January by consistently producing in the areas that matter most to winning. As just a sophomore, he embraced the role of Skyview's leading scorer and delivered night after night, helping the team post a 5–3 record during the stretch. He reached double figures in five games, showing improved touch and confidence finishing around the rim. His impact went beyond scoring, though, as he controlled the glass on both ends and created extra possessions. With his 6'4” frame and long arms, Abood was a physical presence inside, wearing opponents down and setting the tone with his toughness and motor
