Today, we continue our rankings coverage for the Class of 2029, turning our attention to some Notable Newcomers.

While, technically, each prospect in this rankings update is new to the rankings as it's the first time we've actually put a number next to a prospects name for this class, this article will focus on prospects who didn't appear on our initial Watch List for the Class of 2029.

Below, we'll take a look at four Newcomers from this rankings update.

Poage, a forward out of Arlington Catholic High School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #14 overall. Poage is an incredibly long, 6'6" forward that already shows some inside-out ability as a scorer. While he has a lean frame, he should be able to add strength over time, which will only raise his ceiling as a prospect. Right now, he's capable of making shots from behind the arc in catch and shoot situations, shows the ability to make plays out of DHO and ball screen actions, and does a nice job of using his length to his advantage as a finisher around the rim. He's mobile enough to defend on the perimeter and does a nice job of walling up in the paint without fouling. His combination of positional size, length, and skill makes him a really intriguing and high-level, long-term prospect to watch.

Markovitz, a guard out of the Kingswood-Oxford School in Connecticut, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #17 overall. Markovitz first catches the eye with his size on the perimeter, standing 6'4" with long arms and a solid build. He has an advanced feel for the game and does a good job of making solid decisions with the ball in his hands. He's an instinctive passer, moves well without the basketball, and continues to show progress as not only a driver, but also as a rim finisher. The more he can expand his comfort with the ball in his hands and the consistency of his perimeter shooting, the higher his ceiling will go. Defensively, his combination of size and length allows him to play with tremendous versatility and he's already proven to be willing to mix it up on the glass in traffic.

Katznelson, a forward out of Sharon High School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #21 overall. Katznelson has wasted no time making an impact at the varsity level, impressing from the first time he took the floor for Sharon. The 6'5" forward is a fluid mover that shows the ability to make plays with the ball in his hands on the perimeter, while also using his size to his advantage when finishing in the paint. He shows advanced footwork as a low post scorer, has good instincts as a passer, and generally impresses with his versatility on the offensive end of the floor. He's got a good motor as a rebounder and should continue to progress on the defensive end of the floor as he gets stronger and grows into his body. He's a name to watch in the MIAA in the immediate and long-term future.

Fraser, a big man out of the Eaglebrook School in Massachusetts, makes his first appearance in the rankings at #26 overall. Fraser, who plays his travel ball for the PSA Cardinals, was one of the inaugural Nike Jr. EYBL Elite One Hundred this past summer, announcing his presence on the grassroots scene not just in New England, but also nationally. He catches the eye immediately with his 6'8" frame, standing out among his peers with his sheer size, but also shows the ability to impact games with his motor and skill. He does a terrific job of blocking shots without fouling, runs the floor hard in transition, and continues to improve his ability to finish through contact around the rim. His ceiling is incredibly high and he should be a really fun prospect to watch progress over the next four years.
