PH NorCal published the first rankings for the class of 2029. It took some time for us to get a feel for the incoming Freshman. We didn't see many before high school. We saw a few in showcase events. Most of these Freshman at the top are on Varsity, starting, and contributing. Here are some the top Freshman ranked 6-15 in this class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2952295' first='Judah' last='Van-Ewik']: He's logging good playing time on NorCal's top team. He's a combo guard for now with a good set of guard skills. He has a clean jump shot with form for mid-range or 3's. He's a quality ball handler sees the court, has foot speed and moves to create, penetrate and dish. Picked up his first DI offer, he could go higher.

[player_tooltip player_id='2868675' first='Keyaan' last='Moulla']: Listed at 6'7 he's a multi positional prospect with an expanding skill set that allows him to play the Outside/In game. He plays along the perimeter good passing, using his dribble at times to get close for paint jumpers, and layups, will take open 3's. At 6'7, still growing he's a target in the post. He's averaging 16.3 pts, 8.3 rebs in the early season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2892390' first='Jaden' last='DeJesus Eves']: He has the tools to elevate his game going forward. There's a bit of a learning curve right now, nevertheless he's a legitimate 6'8 prospect who'll command attention in the post. When on balance he'll dunk everything, get blocks, and rebounds. He's a go to guy in the post, with good passing. He'll turn and go strong, sometimes playing through contact, or find cutters and shooters. 11.3ppg, 5.3 rebs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2952258' first='King' last='Griffin']: Could be the next best point guard from the Sacramento Area, if he continues on his upward path. He'll have his ups and downs. He's leveled his game, can slow things down and run the team, and get aggressive looking for his own buckets. He's hard to guard when he gets it going.

[player_tooltip player_id='2952322' first='Isaiah' last='Dotson']: He's a long wiry multi positional prospect right now. He'll probably grow a few more inches while sharpening his overall skill set. He made a good impression in the early season on the big stage, coming off the bench and contributing in different ways to help his team. He adjusts well, plays good defense, runs the court, has good passing. Good upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2909979' first='Quaran' last='Johnson Jr.'] : He has foot speed, good handles. He uses quick dribbles, change of direction, crossovers to keep defenders off balance at times, while generate scoring opportunities for himself and others. He has vision, can push, pass, and find players in transition and along the perimeter. He'll knock down open 3's.

[player_tooltip player_id='2894463' first='Scotty' last='Beamish']: He has a growing skill set with a chance to take his game to higher level. He's fast with good movement, has a certain level of confidence needed as a guard who put points on the board. He has the handles to attack from different areas, pull up for quick mid-range jumpers, shows he can drop a 3-pointer. He has the foot speed to be a good defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2861174' first='Tua' last='Montoya']: He's been a steady point guard early running the show for the small private school in school in Oakland. He has a solid body, quality handles, and leverage to keep pressure on defenders, and generate buckets. He has speed, attacks from different areas, can handle the bumps. He's dishing out 4 assists per game in the early season. He can be a disruptor on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2952326' first='Will' last='Farrington']: He's a long wiry prospect, still growing with a frame to fill. He continues to adjust and find ways to contribute at the Varsity level. He has the tools to play the Outside/In game. He's spotting up for 3's, up top and the corners. He cuts, gets wide in the post, can turn and go. He runs the court. He's an improving defender and rebounder. He might be ranked to low, we'll keep an eye on him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2952629' first='Jaden' last='Hector']: He's starting and averaging 13.7ppg 9.7rebs in the early season. A long wing forward with a frame to add more muscle He looks comfortable playing around the perimeter, using his dribble, shot ready in the corners, before going inside to help rebound. He's shown he can rebound, handle in transition using crossovers to go by, and get closer for paint points. We'll continue to track him.
