The 2025 Magic City Holiday Invitational began on Friday, November 19th, at Wilson High School in Florence, South Carolina. There were six boys' games on day one, featuring five in-state teams as well as schools from North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland, and New York. Check out this Underclassmen Report, which breaks down two sophomores and three freshmen who stood out on Friday at the Magic City Holiday Invitational:

First up on my Underclassmen Report for the Magic City Holiday Invitational is [player_tooltip player_id='2630132' first='Kiishawn' last='Farrow']. Farrow transferred into Greenville near the end of the summer and is coming off a successful season on the football field. He was terrific in the Red Raiders' big win over St. Christopher, going for 16 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Kiishawn usually does a good job of doing other things apart from scoring, but this was as good as I've seen him shoot it from three. He hit four threes in the win, doing so off set plays and with both movement and spot-up.

Isaiah was one of several Wilson Tigers who stepped up on their home floor to get an impressive win over Pope John Paul II (TN). Addison started the game on fire from three, knocking down three first-quarter triples to give Wilson an early lead. This both gave him confidence and opened up driving lanes for the rest of the game. Those driving lanes were not just open when defenders stayed home on Addison, but they also opened up for Isaiah to drive closeouts and find some teammates around the rim. He finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in the win.

The third in-state underclassman who stood out on day one of the Magic City Holiday Invitational is [player_tooltip player_id='2821521' first='Jeremiah' last='Triplin']. Triplin has one of the highest ceilings of anyone in the Palmetto State, regardless of class. He was able to show some flashes in a disappointing loss for the Trojans, putting up 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks. He used his unique size and length to rebound and finish around the rim, but one of the things that is most intriguing for his long-term future is how good he was when switching onto guards on defense. This is something that they work on with Jeremiah and will be one of his most desirable attributes when the college coaches come calling over the next few years.

Costley, Maryland's top-ranked prospect in the Class of 2029, took the floor in Florence with Springdale Prep. Despite his age, Jordan has everything scouts are looking for: positional size, ability to dictate pace, comfort running the pick-and-roll, and defensive buy-in. The last attribute might be the most important right now, because the Lions play elite team defense, and if you aren't up to that task, you won't play crucial minutes. Costley is, and he forced a ton of turnovers with his length and ball containment. Jordan had 6 points, 4 assists, and 7 steals in a 75-30 win for Springdale Prep over Miami Southridge (FL) on Friday.

Sylva is about as raw as it gets on the offensive end for a big man, but there is no questioning his intangibles. He struggled with his touch around the rim and didn't offer much rim protection. However, Okauru Obende worked as hard as anyone on the floor despite the large defecit for most of the game. He was very productive on the glass and kept the ball high and away from trouble whenever he got it, racking up 16 rebounds to go with 8 points in the first round loss.
