Ferguson, a Taylor signee, posted 17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals to help lead Columbus North to a hard fought 59-54 win over Prep Hoops Indiana Class 1A #4 Hauser. The 6'1" guard showcased his strength on Saturday night consistently playing through contact, getting downhill to his right hand, and finishing around the basket.

Corydon Central moved to 2-0 on the season with a dominant 79-31 win over Lanesville. Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2813526' first='Jack' last='Fessel'] led the way with 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. His length and athleticism in the backcourt makes him a very difficult matchup. Fessel is known as an excellent driver who uses that length and athleticism to finish up around the rim, but he also knocked in a pair of three-point shots on Friday night.

This junior point guard was a big part of Hauser's late comeback. He hit two of his four three-point shots in a short spurt to begin the fourth quarter that led to the Jets taking a short-lived one-point lead over Columbus North. The Jets would go on to lose 59-54, but Gill finished with 12 points, 7 assists, and 3 steals. His overall playmaking ability, paired with the way he shoots it, is very impressive.

Keller used his length and athleticism to operate around the basket on Saturday night. He is a good ball handler and distributor out on the perimeter, but he ends up doing a lot of his scoring in the paint. Whether he was finishing a drive with a floater, cutting along the baseline, or rising up for a two-hand slam, Keller found success against Columbus North inside. He finished with 15 points and 4 assists in the 59-54 loss.

Lindemann is a highly skilled guard that can really shoot it from beyond the arc. He creates an excellent one-two punch in the Corydon Central backcourt next to Fessel. The 5'10" junior guard scored 14 points to go with 6 rebounds and 3 assists in their 79-31 win over Lanesville on Friday night.

Murphy caught fire in the third quarter as Corydon Central poured it on Lanesville on their way to a 79-31 win. The senior wing connected on five three-point shots in the quarter and finished with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assist for the game. Adding his hot shooting to Fessel and Lindemann in the backcourt would give Corydon Central a real three-headed monster this season.

Lanesville simply couldn't get much going on Friday night. They missed some good looks to start the game and then turnovers mounted as Corydon Central turned up the defensive pressure. However, Pearce was able to find some individual success. The talented 6'3" sophomore win finished with 18 points and 7 rebounds in the Eagles' season-opener. He should put up some big numbers throughout this season.

Down the stretch, when the game mattered most, [player_tooltip player_id='2141046' first='Austin' last='Perry'] emerged as the best player on the floor. He scored six points, grabbed three big rebounds, and dished out an assist in the fourth quarter alone. Twice he scored go-ahead buckets for Columbus North after Hauser had taken leads. Perry went on to finish with a game-high 18 points to go along with 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
