The Highlanders of Floyd Central are one of the teams we think can see one of the biggest improvements this upcoming season and for them, it all starts with the returning lead scorer [player_tooltip player_id='2140414' first='Landon' last='Reed']. A junior shooting guard, Reed brings back 16.4 points and 1.8 assists per game from his sophomore season. With true varsity experience now, Reed is an extremely dynamic left-handed two-guard that can make plays all over the floor. He has a real consistent jumper and can make plays with a burst of explosion in the lane. Expect a big season out of him.

Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2538842' first='Gavin' last='Scheich']

One of the more intriguing transfers we saw in the offseason with down south with sophomore power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2538842' first='Gavin' last='Scheich'] transferring to Floyd Central after spending his freshman season with Borden. Scheich has one of the few things you can't teach on the basketball floor and that is size with him being a long 6'8 prospect. A versatile big man, Scheich plays above the rim with sneaky bounce and can be a guy that can stretch the floor from behind the arc. A breakout year is coming for him and Floyd Central will more than benefit from it.
