About Jamil

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Height: 6’1”Position: Guard Play Style: Shifty / Explosive / Fearless I am a dynamic 6’1 guard known for my smooth handle, quick first step, and explosive athleticism. My game blends flash, control and I'm capable of breaking defenders down off the dribble and creating space with crafty crossovers, hesitations, and rhythm changes. Once I get downhill I attack the rim with power and creativity.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’ve got a dog mentality. I don’t just talk about what I want I put the work in until it shows. I take my game personally. When someone doubts me or tries to outshine me it just fuels me more. I’d rather outwork people quietly than chase attention. Off the court, I’m chill but focused. I don’t waste time on drama or distractions. I stay in my lane and handle my business.

Among the more electric guards we saw on the day, Carter caught the eye during his lone game of the morning before really taking center stage in the Top-30 all-star game. A slender, quick guard with length to grow into over time, Carter was effective using his slick handle to create space for a feathery jumper that he had no issue getting off over bigger defenders. He played with tremendous confidence and looked to be one of the more dynamic natural scorers in the gym. We’ll have to see him in more structured settings, and there’s a long way to go as Carter is barely 14 and a half years old, but he’s certainly on the radar after his standout weekend.
