One of the top prospects in the entire fall league, Bowman certainly made an impressive opening weekend statement. Playing for one of his high school assistant coaches, Bowman is getting the opportunity to create virtually everything for his team and thrive with the ball in his hands. Bowman plays extremely hard for a top prospect and scored a handful of buckets off pure hustle. Impressive to see a kid who won a 3SSB championship in the summer and the leader of a Lakota East squad give full effort in a fall league but that's the type of player Bowman is. Lakota East's culture typically brings out winning qualities in their players and Bowman certainly is as good as it gets in the Thunderhawks program when it comes to making winning plays regardless if they appear on the stat sheet.

This was my first time seeing Warner and I was really impressed with his poise on the ball for such a young prospect. With good positional size on the wing, Warner had a couple rhythm pull-up jumpers and scoop layups off dribble drive attacks. His basketball IQ was obvious because when the defense collapsed onto him, he made the right read and was confident setting the table for others. Based on what I saw on Sunday, Warner projects to be one of the better wing guards in Dayton's 2029 class.

Another 2029 prospect who was one of the top players I saw on Sunday, Hill was making it rain from long distance. A confident shooter from both wings, Hill was knocking down spot-up, one dribble pull-up and DHO 3-pointers from everywhere on the court. When Hill had his feet set, it was going in almost every time. One of the more notable incoming freshman from the Cincinnati area, expect to hear a lot about Hill over the next few seasons.

Able to get downhill whenever he wanted on Sunday, Settelmayer was applying rim pressure and finishing with either hand at the rim. When a guard can attack going both directions it makes them a lot tougher to stop as a driver and Settelmayer did that often. A couple mid-range buckets also caught my eye from him on Sunday.

I like going to these events and rediscovering kids I haven't watched in a long time, especially younger prospects. Goldner is somebody who stood out last year at this fall league. Looking a couple inches taller and stronger, Goldner has taken a clear leap from freshman to sophomore year. Tough to keep Goldner off the offensive glass, he got a handful of second chance points on Sunday. I also liked that Goldner looked to post up and his guard teammates did a nice job throwing entry passes to him where he could easily catch turn and finish, especially when he got fronted. Nice to get a look at the new and improved Goldner in this fall league.
