Updated 2018 Rankings
The PrepHoopNC 2018 Rankings have been updated and here are a look at some of the names.
Devon Dotson#1-Coby White 6’3 PG Greenfield School/Team CP3-Big time scoring guard, can fill the basket up in a hurry, above average athletic ability. UNC commit.
#2-Devon Dotson 6’0 PG Providence Day/Team Charlotte-Good size at the PG spot, high level defender, can get by defenders with his change of pace. Has signed with Kansas.
#3-Jaylan Hoard 6’7 W Team CP3/Wesleyan Christian-Good frame and build for the wing spot, has a quick first-step and can get off of the floor in a hurry. Can score off the dribble or knock down the set shot.
#4-Rechon Black 6’7 W Team Cp3/Cox Mill HS-Black is back in North Carolina after spending his junior season at Montverde Academy in Florida. He and Wendell Moore are hoping to make it a re-peat at Cox Mill for the 3-A state title.
#5-John Newman III 6’5 SG Greensboro Day/Team CP3-The combo-guard is athletic and can get off the floor in a hurry for blocks and rebounds. Clemson recruit.
#6-Jairus Hamilton 6’7 SF Cannon School/Team Loaded-Long wingspan at nearly 6’10″”, long arms, quick off the floor and can move laterally very fast. Has a college ready body. Possesses a strong handle for his size and is a above average rebounder. Committed to Boston College.
#7-Nate Hinton 6’5 CG Gaston Day/Team Charlotte-As athletic as a player as you will find. He can score in a variety of ways and brings a level of high-energy to the game. He has a great motor that goes and goes. Committed to Houston.
Biggest Movers:
#25-6’0, G Deacon Heath Avery County High School-The 6-foot guard is sneaky athletic and can score the basketball from anywhere on the floor. He has a high basketball IQ and is a proven-winner.
#41-6’5 W Gerrale Gates Butler HS/Team Charlotte-He provides the team with low post scoring as well an improved outside shot. Gerrale is an extremely smart player and has committed to The University of New Orleans.
#52-6’5 G Chris Barnette Ravenscroft School-High basketball IQ, very tough defends 94′, plays fast, knockdown shooter, does all little things that win games, can fill up the stat sheet in a hurry, he is a really good three-point shooter and just has that knack of knowing how to score the basketball.
