One of the fastest guards I saw in the 3v3 session of the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was 2028 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2935706' first='Brennan' last='Johnson']. Coming out of North Central High School, Johnson is a shorter guard, but he's very shifty and quick with the ball. He made some excellent plays in the lane, showing a high basketball IQ during the 3v3 portion of the event.

One guard who showed intriguing upside was 2028 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2555234' first='Damon' last='Peak Jr']. out of Elkhart High School. Listed at around 6'0", Peak Jr. displayed one of the better mid-range jumpers I saw on the day and looked very comfortable shooting from that area. An effective off-ball guard, he looks poised to take a leap during his sophomore season at Elkhart.

Another player from North Central High School who suited up for Team 5 was 5'10" guard [player_tooltip player_id='2957877' first='Ty'Eir' last='Petty']. While he is on the shorter side compared to his peers, Petty has a long frame that he uses well in the fast-paced style he plays. In the 3v3 session of the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp, he did a great job of dribbling into scoring spots and capitalizing on them.

A player I came away impressed with during the 3v3 session of the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was 2028 wing [player_tooltip player_id='2539946' first='Eli' last='Gilpin'], representing South Ripley High School. At around 6'3", Gilpin was one of the hardest-working players I saw on Sunday, using his strong frame to play aggressively underneath the basket. He also stood out as one of the better defenders on the day.

Coming out of the Fort Wayne area was 2028 wing [player_tooltip player_id='2924611' first='Luke' last='De Castro'] from Bishop Luers High School. At 6'3", De Castro is a long wing with a smooth pull-up jumper, which he showed while playing with Team 5 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. He looked comfortable operating along the perimeter and was always ready to make a play from there.

Ben Davis High School was represented by 2028 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2898541' first='Caleb' last='Anderson'] at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Listed at 5'11", Anderson has an athletic frame that allowed him to work effectively off the ball as a cutter. He also showed aggressiveness in getting his shot off.

The player I felt put on the best showing for Team 5 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp was someone I've been high on over the past year—[player_tooltip player_id='2560361' first='Dontreyelle' last='Johnson'] out of South Bend Riley. He was his aggressive, physical self in the paint and on the glass, but what stood out most was his ability to create on the wing. It looks as though he has unlocked more of an ability to stretch the floor, and if that's the case, South Bend Riley is going to be a dangerous team this season. Johnson was also one of the only sophomores at the event with true varsity experience.

Seeing a guy like [player_tooltip player_id='1977423' first='Carson' last='Boomsma'] compete at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp on Sunday further proves just how loaded and deep this Crown Point team will be this season. At 6'2", Boomsma is a true combo guard who made smart cuts to the basket and stood out as one of the better rebounding guards in the gym. He played extremely hard whenever he was on the floor in both games.

If there was one player who passed the eye test at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp on Sunday, it was Jeffersonville center [player_tooltip player_id='2451395' first='Damauri' last='Crosby']. At 6'7", Crosby was one of the most physically impressive players in the gym—and he had the raw skills to back it up. He rebounded at a high level, showed great athleticism, and displayed a solid jumper for his size. Crosby's upside looks unlimited.
