Legacy Team Camp Report: Standout Performers 2028/2029 Class

The Legacy Team Camp continues to be a proving ground for emerging basketball talent across New Jersey, and the classes of 2028 and 2029 are no exception. As the gym buzzes with the energy of young athletes striving to make their mark, it's clear that the pipeline of skilled, dedicated players remains strong. Each session of the camp brings new faces to the forefront—players who combine raw ability with work ethic and competitive drive, hinting at the future stars of high school hoops and beyond.    The slick lefty ball handler was impressive in both games I watched. Bryce's high basketball IQ and court awareness were on full display, demonstrating his proficiency both as a primary point guard and an off-ball threat. His ability to score from anywhere on the floor. Kept constant rim pressure on the rim getting downhill with regularity. Known for his precise shooting and adept passing, McCray orchestrated plays effectively while contributing defensively with his strategic positioning and active hands. Bryce is one of the top young guards in the Middle Atlantic region as well as on the national level as well in the 2029 class.     McMillan was one of the best on ball defenders at the event. Was the point man in the Bergan Catholic full-court pressure defense. Brendan effortlessly creates clean looks for himself and others while mixing it up frequently from all levels. He's a solid three-point shooter who gets wherever he wants off the bounce, attacks the basket at a constant rate, and makes intelligent decisions with the ball in his hands. Brendan is a quality athlete with a strong frame at this stage in his development. He displays great energy and sharp instincts as a defender at the point of attack, and forces turnovers at a nice rate. Given everything he's shown over this spring and summer I say, it's difficult to envision Brendan slowing down any time soon.     <a>Physical forward who has the potential to be a do it all two-way prospect, Owen Wucherpfening stood out at the Legacy Team Camp with his dog mentality and versatile skill set. Owen showcased his ability to crash the defensive glass and go coast to coast for easy layups. He spent all weekend controlling the glass and making his presence felt inside. Slashing to the rim hard and converting and-one baskets or drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. Wucherpfening also knocked down perimeter jump shots off the catch when given room. A player to keep your eyes on in the class of 2028. </a>     Aiken is a very high IQ young forward who understands defensive principles and does a lot of different things well. Very disciplined and sound on the defensive, Aiken gave multiple defensive efforts to each possession and was disrupting opposing teams' offensive flow all weekend. His size and bigger frame give him the ability to match physicality and guard multiple positions, often switching on bigger and smaller players. As his game and body continue to develop, I see much two-way potential and upside for Kaden Aiken.     Mixed in scoring and distributing to lead the way. Does a great job handling and creating for others and defends with relentless energy. He impacts the game on/off the ball. Infinite ability to score off the bounce with quick bursts and a strong frame and shredded the jets from deep with lights out shooting. High academic student/athlete, a winner!
